Short Self Analysis
At the beginning of the course I suspected my skills were average and below average at best but over time I think I have slightly got better in a couple of skills, for example my sound skills and my communication skills but the ones I am not so great at and need to improve on would be my Editing skills since its a useful skill to have plus I generally want to learn more about it and my Creativity skills. I intend to improve these skills by learning how to edit any time i can get even if I don't have to, for example green screen effects and when sharing and pitching ideas I should be willing to think of more creative ideas and willing to tell them to the group which also help my confidence since my presentation skills are not so great ether
Personal Statement
In lesson we were given questions we needed to answer so we can make a personal statement for our own so in the future we will know how to make one when applying for University. The reason personal statements are important is to show the person reading what you do outside of the course your applying for but also if you have any skills that would benefit the course, plus it will make you interesting enough to get picked on to the course due to how many applicants the board gets for Unis so its important to stand out. Here is my personal statement I created.
Outside of this course I am intending to apply for there are
a couple of things that do that could help with this course is my interest in
films in general so that helps due to me wondering how it gets made in the technical
sense. My previous course is related to this one is due me currently studying
the same course at Stockton Riverside College, I also have some work experience
while at Stockton Riverside College is since I do some Ufilms work where I helped
film some work at a place called The Globe in Stockton in which may help for example
on the field work for a project. A life experience that could help me progress
with is subject would me working on a short film called Counter Punch since it
was first view on what it could be like in the industry, One achievement that I
am proud of for this subject would be when I won an local award for best
director of photography while working on my first year Final project, this
helped build my confidence a little since it showed me I was capable of getting
a award like this. A skill that would make me good for this course would my communication
skills since if I did a certain thing I could relay it back so nothing gets
lost in the process of it all or even future projects. My plans and ambitions
for my future career is going to Uni and doing this course and finding the
perfect course I am comfortable with and I enjoy doing it at the same time.
Another thing that I have that could be useful to me for this course that I am applying for would be the following, Sound Skills due to myself being a Sound Operator for when I helped on Counter Punch and even my own FMP project called Red Herring, plus i have some experience trying my Foley Sound skills as well, another skill for this would be my Camera skills although I still have a long way to go from being good but in my opinion they are average improve like all my other skills but I am confident enough to say that I'm okay at it for now in which will help if I join this university position. Another reason this subject that I am applying for this course would be so I can learn more of what I don't know now, for example learning more about editing and improving that since even if I didn't do the course and wanted to make a video for YouTube I can use what I learnt from the course into the video like learning how to Green Screen Edit and make it background anywhere you wish through the software which sounds fun to learn more about editing software like Première Pro and Final Cut. In my College Course Prior applying for this one i did multiple roles for different unit for example I worked as a Light Operator for a short film called Deck the Halls, I became a Director of Photography and a semi Editor for the Short film Red Herring.
The Teacher reference will be completed in the near future.

UCAS
Above is evidence that I have started doing the UCAS Application besides the Personal Statement and a part of the Education segment since I don't know my GCSE results from my top of my head, i will add the results onto the application at a later date when I have them available to me. Another thing that i have started to consider is what University I am willing to go to in the future here is the pros and cons of my list of university's I am willing to go into.
Teesside University - Pros Close to home, Good Equipment easy travel and the Centre has some good places to go to. Cons Could be expensive, Student halls may not be as good.
Northern School of Art Middlesbrough - Pros Easy Travel, Close to home near the centre. Cons - Not being indecently enough to venture forth into town.
